4-H poultry chain silent auction to be held at Baxter County fair Saturday

The Baxter County 4-H Poultry Chain Auction will be conducted as a silent auction this year at the Baxter County Fair. Bids can be placed in the Critter Barn through noon on Saturday.Up for auction is a pen of four Lohmann White pullets, about five months old, with some birds just beginning to lay. Organizers say the purchase is a good opportunity to start a homestead project while supporting local 4-H.

All proceeds will go toward next year’s 4-H Poultry Chain program, ensuring the project remains free for participating youth.
