IOWA, La. (
KLFY) — A truck driver and a passenger were killed in a crash on I-10 near Iowa, Louisiana Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The crash claimed the lives of two people who have yet to be identified pending notification of next of kin.
Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop D began investigating a single-vehicle crash just before 8 a.m. Tuesday on I-10 East near La. 383 in Iowa.
Investigators said a Kenworth truck was traveling east on I-10 when it began to travel off the roadway to the right before hitting a group of trees and becoming engulfed in fire.
Both occupants of the truck died at the scene.
This crash remains under investigation.
