Three men accused of committing multiple gas station robberies in Ramsey County last month are now facing federal charges.
Dylan Charles Jungwirth, 21; Kenneth Toy Spight, 21; and Kemonie Hurd, 18, have all been indicted by a federal grand jury on Hobbs Act robbery charges.
As previously reported, three men committed a series of robberies on Aug. 17, starting with Jungwirth and Spight allegedly robbing a Speedway in Roseville around 5:56 a.m.
Jungwirth, Spight, and Hurd reportedly robbed another gas station, this time a BP station in Little Canada, hours later at 8:34 a.m.
The three then allegedly traveled back to Roseville for a third gas station robbery. Court documents stated that at the third gas station, Jungwirth reportedly demanded that the clerk hand over their wallet, which the clerk refused to do.
This eventually led to a struggle between the clerk and Jungwirth over the gun, resulting in the clerk sustaining multiple injuries, court documents state.
After leaving the gas station, law enforcement spotted the suspect’s vehicle and followed it into St. Paul, where the defendants crashed their car. One defendant was arrested, while the other two fled on foot into the woods and were subsequently arrested.

The search for the suspects took place near the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, where preparations were underway for the day’s events.
This prompted law enforcement to issue an emergency alert, informing people that the fairgrounds were closed due to police activity in the area. Law enforcement later issued a second “all clear” alert.
“The State Fair is one of Minnesota’s most cherished traditions. It is a time for all of us to come together and celebrate the state and the end of summer,” said acting U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson. “These defendants brought violence to that celebration with their armed robbery spree. Anyone who does that will see federal charges.”
