Richmond County Sheriff seizes narcotics, guns, cash stash in bust

RICHMOND COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office conducted a comprehensive investigation into the illegal possession and sale of narcotics in the East Rockingham community of Richmond County.

As a result of the investigation, a search was conducted at a residence on Church Street, which uncovered 76.87 grams of methamphetamine, 18.09 grams of fentanyl, three firearms, and $9,157 in U.S. currency.

Larry Stewart McDonald Jr. has been charged with several serious offenses, including Trafficking Opium or Heroin, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Possessing Drug Paraphernalia.

He is being held in the Richmond County Jail without bond, as he was already out on bond for previous charges of Trafficking Opium or Heroin, Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substances.
