Wetzler, a junior, is currently the top left-handed pitcher in the state for the Class of 2027, according to Baseball Northwest.
The Ducks also will be welcoming Oregon’s No. 3 shortstop in the class of 2027 in Girod. He burst onto the scene as an eighth grader, getting invited to the USA Baseball (15U) Team Camp in 2023.
That same year, he was a member of the USA Prime National 14U team and played in the Beast of the East Invitational, PG Florida World Series, USA Team Championships in North Carolina, and Perfect Game 14U National Showcase.
