Mega Millions ticket worth $2.26M sold in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A Mega Millions lottery ticket worth over $2 million was sold in San Francisco, according to the California Lottery. The ticket matched 5 of 5 numbers with a 3x multiplier in Tuesday’s draw, but did not match the Mega Ball number.

The winning numbers in Tuesday’s draw were 6, 43, 52, 64 and 65 with a Mega Ball number of 22.

The 5/5 ticket was sold at Miss Q’s Convenience located at 838 Washington Street in SF’s Chinatown and is now worth $2,263,479 for the lucky player, the California Lottery said.

The estimated jackpot for Tuesday’s Mega Millions draw was $358 million. With no winners taking the pot, it has now grown to an estimated $381 million for Friday’s draw, according to lottery officials.

Tuesday’s winning Mega Millions ticket comes days after a Powerball ticket worth $1.56 million was sold in Dublin.
