Man stabbed over parking spot in Hanford, police say
HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was stabbed after a large fight broke out over a parking spot outside a Hanford Walmart Monday evening.

By the time officers arrived at the scene on 250 South 12th Ave., everyone involved had fled. However, thanks to witnesses, officers were able to quickly locate the suspect, who they identified as 19-year-old Gilbert Garcia.

Garcia was tracked to a nearby home, and a traffic stop was conducted on his vehicle. Inside, police say they found the knife believed to have been used in the stabbing.

Garcia was booked into the Kings County Jail on charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The 26-year-old man who was stabbed is expected to recover.
