Louisiana high school teacher accused of forcing student to perform sexual acts

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On Sept. 9, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a possible sex crime at Richwood High School.

Deputies interviewed Geoterrius Spivey at the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Annex.

Miranda rights were read to Spivey, in which he stated he understood and wished to waive them. Spivey stated he still wanted to speak with the authorities to give his testimony.

According to court documents, Spivey stated that on September 9, 2025, at 10:45 AM, he was working as a substitute teacher at Richwood High School, and a 15-year-old student came to “hang out” with him in his classroom. Spivey stated that the victim made sexual comments to him and leaned toward him. Spivey stated that he then took the victim’s hand, guiding it to his private area over his clothes.

Spivey then exposed himself to the victim and advised the victim to commit a sexual act. Spivey and the victim then engaged in a sexual act until other students were about to enter the room.

Spivey was called into the school’s main office and allegedly stated he inappropriately grabbed the student.

Authorities made contact with the victim to receive her testimony and were advised that Spivey allegedly put her in a headlock, resulting in her falling to the ground. The victim stated that Spivey found her social media account. She asked Spivey if he had looked at her account, and he admitted he did.

The victim stated she went into Spivey’s classroom, where he allegedly grabbed her and forced her to commit sexual acts with him. The victim then stated she tried to push away from him, but he continued to push her down to his genital area. The victim stated she attempted to pull away and stand up, but Spivey allegedly grabbed her hair and forced her to continue sexual acts with him.

After collecting both accounts of what happened from both parties, Spivey was made aware of the inconsistencies in their stories. Spivey did admit to the sexual abuse.

At that time, Ouachita Parish Sheriff Investigators requested an arrest warrant for Spivey. He was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on the following charges: two counts of second-degree rape, sexual battery, and simple battery.
