DOJ charges Rockford resident with child pornography

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Department of Justice has indicted Alex LeDoux, 34, of Rockford, on charges of receiving, transporting, and possessing child pornography.

According to the DOJ, LeDoux was in possession of child pornography in 2023.

He was indicted in federal court on Tuesday and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Officials said the case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
