Originally from Greece, Dr. Mitsakos earned his undergraduate degree at the Medical Faculty of the Military School of Combat Support Officers in Thessaloniki and his Doctor of Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His medical education also included training at Hippokrateion General Hospital in Thessaloniki and a clinical rotation in surgery at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mitsakos enjoys playing hard rock guitar, running and basketball.
