Arkansas Storm Team Blog: Fall allergies are back
The main allergens in the fall are weed pollen spores. Weeds like ragweed, pigweed, amaranth, sagebrush, and other plants are the most common allergens floating around in the air in the fall. By November and December, weed pollen is low, but mold spores are higher in the air as fall leaves begin to decompose on the ground.
Through the end of the week in the metro, ragweed and sagebrush spores are high. This will continue into the weekend. Until the area’s next chance for rain, weed pollen spores will be near or within the high range.
