Motorcyclist killed after crash in Sandy involving SUV
SANDY, Utah (ABC4) — One person has died after a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV near 8600 S and 700 E in Sandy.
According to Sergeant Greg Moffit with Sandy City Police Department, there was a crash involving a motorcyclist driver and an SUV driver. The motorcyclist driver, identified only as a male in his 40s, was pronounced dead on scene.

Reportedly, the SUV driver is remaining on scene and cooperating with the investigation. Law enforcement has closed the intersection and are redirecting traffic.
Additionally, a crash reconstruction team is on the scene and are investigating what transpired leading up to the incident.
As this is an ongoing investigation, Sandy City Police have not released any other information or identified either driver at this time.
