Cherryville Police seek suspect after armed robbery caught on video

CHERRYVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Cherryville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Monday around 6:30 a.m. at Heafner’s Superette located on Church Street in Cherryville.

Video surveillance shows a suspect entering the store, displaying a firearm, and demanding money from the clerk. The suspect exited the store and fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

The Cherryville Police Department is asking anyone with information related to this incident to contact Detective Lee Farris at 704-435-1717.
