Burglars hit Gentilly Woods Wingstop for dollars not drumettes
According to police, the burglary happened at 3:11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Wingstop in the 4200 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Police also released security camera footage from the store that shows much of what happened.
In the video, the pair is seen entering then leaving the business after smashing its door glass. A second security camera clip shows one of the suspects break the security anchors of two store cash registers. The burglars wore hoodies and masks and used a pickaxe.
Police say each cash register had about $200. The pair is also accused of stealing $3,000 from the store’s safe as well as a computer and an iPad.
