The study, by public speaking exposure platform AmberWillo, has revealed the artists whose songs most frequently appear in playlists designed for relaxation and calm. The study examined 1,738 Spotify playlists themed around “relaxing,” “calm,” “chill,” “soothing,” and “peaceful” songs, where 378,382 tracks were found. Artists with over 10 million monthly listeners were then ranked based on the highest number of appearances in relaxation playlists.
Drake emerged as the clear frontrunner with 4,114 appearances, representing 1.09% of all songs in relaxing playlists. His track “One Dance” came out on top, with over 3.76 billion streams in total. Other top hits such as “God’s Plan” and “Passionfruit” were also heavily featured in relaxation playlists, with 2.84 billion and 1.95 billion streams since their release.
Taylor Swift secured the second position with 2,304 appearances (0.61%), highlighting her widespread appeal for go-to peaceful music. Her track “Cruel Summer” has accumulated over 3.07 billion streams, showcasing her commercial success alongside her presence in relaxation playlists. “Blank Space” and “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” were the second and third most popular tracks overall, with 2.17 billion and 1.95 billion streams, respectively.
Kendrick Lamar ranks third with 1,828 appearances (0.48%) in relaxing playlists. His song “HUMBLE.” has received more than 2.7 billion streams, demonstrating his ability to create music that listeners find both engaging and calming. “All The Stars” and “Money Tree” are other honorable mentions that frequently featured in relaxation playlists.
Tyler, The Creator follows closely in fourth place with 1,812 appearances (0.48%). His track “See You Again” featuring Kali Uchis has achieved over 2.45 billion streams, establishing him as a significant figure in the relaxation music space.
Billie Eilish rounds out the top five with 1,735 appearances (0.46%). Her collaboration withKhalid, “lovely,” has accumulated more than 3.43 billion streams, making it one of the most-played relaxing songs.

SZA takes seventh place with 1,554 appearances (0.41%). Her song “Kill Bill” has been streamed over 2.5 billion times, contributing to her strong presence in the relaxation music category.
Travis Scott secured the eighth position with 1,540 appearances (0.41%). His track “goosebumps” has reached nearly 3 billion streams, confirming his impact on listeners seeking calm through music.
Kanye West places ninth, with 1,505 appearances (0.40%) in relaxation playlists. His most popular song for a chilled, peaceful vibe is “Heartless,” with over 1.73 billion streams.
Frank Ocean completes the top ten with 1,497 appearances in playlists associated with relaxing, representing about 0.40% of all tracks. His hit song “Pink + White” is the most listened to, with over 1.9 billion streams.
