Man killed in Bowie shooting, suspect in custody

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A man is dead and a suspect is in custody after a Sunday shooting in Bowie, the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) detailed.

Police say officers responded at 6:30 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Rockport Lane, where a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to the hospital, where he later died. His identity has not been released.

According to police, a suspect was taken into custody, and the incident remains under investigation.
