Lawrence County firefighter passes away
“Words cannot describe how we are feeling right now with this unexpected loss,” the fire department said on Facebook. “Just know we appreciate all of the community members who are stopping by the station this evening to offer condolences and share memories. The next few days will be difficult, but we are grateful for the community’s support. Please keep all of the first responders in your thoughts and prayers during the coming days.”
The fire department said in another post that Asst. Chief Campbell was at the department for many years, serving the community since 1996. He also worked as an Advanced EMT with Lawrence County EMS.
