Infant hospitalized with several severe injuries, the father arrested

CADDO PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – In a concerning case, a 24-year-old man from Hosston has been arrested for allegedly injuring his 2-month-old infant.

The father, Nicholas Todd, was arrested and subsequently booked at the Caddo Correctional Center on a charge of Second Degree Cruelty to Juveniles.

The investigation began on September 6, 2025, when Detective Tadlock, the on-call detective for the Special Victims Unit, responded to a report regarding an infant taken to LSU Ochsner Medical Center.

Upon admission, the baby was found to have serious head and face injuries, along with a significant injury to the right leg.

During the course of the investigation, both parents were questioned.

The arrest was made by the Caddo Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit.
