21-year-old killed in shooting near Rockford gas station

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A 21-year-old man was shot to death near a gas station on Charles Street on Sunday night.

Rockford Police said the crime took place before midnight near the gas station at 2211 Charles Street.

Four hours later, police said the unidentified victim had died from his injuries.

No suspect information was provided, and no arrests have been made. Police said the investigation is active and further details would be released on Monday.
