Cary High School senior achieves perfect scores on ACT and SAT, sets sights on dream career in medicine
Sophie attributes her success to her disciplined study habits and effective time management. “I was shocked and excited. I am so thrilled, and it shows that hard work pays off,” she said.
According to the ACT, Sophie is now among the top quarter of one percent of students who take the ACT and achieve a top score. In 2024, only 3,041 out of 1.37 million students who took the ACT earned a perfect composite score of 36.
Many prestigious schools, including Harvard and Yale, are reaching out to her with letters encouraging her to attend their institutions.
However, she already has a few schools on her list. “I am considering Duke, Brown, and Yale. I toured those schools over the summer, and I love all three of their campuses. They are all beautiful, and the sense of community at each school seems inviting,” Sophie shared.
Sophie has big dreams for her future, and she is filled with excitement. “I want to become a doctor. I am considering specializing as either an OBGYN or an endocrinologist,” she said.
