BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A new music shop is celebrating its recent opening in Bloomington with an all-day festival this weekend.
The Colonel’s Guitar Ranch & Music Store, located at 118 S. Rogers St., will host its grand opening celebration, “Ranchapalooza,” on Saturday, Sept. 6, from noon to 8 p.m. The event will feature live performances from local bands and singer-songwriters, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.
The lineup includes bands Living Rumors, Dangerous Minds, Current Entertainment, and Emberlock. Singer-songwriters scheduled to perform include Will “the Colonel” Cleary, Paul Peter Jova (also known as Frankie Camaro), Sara Flint, Forest Gras, Brandon Owens, Drew Sustained featuring Jesse Streich, Dusty Dave and Heather, and Alex Zimlich.
Food options will be available from Doner Kabobs and Pili’s Party Tacos, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
The Colonel’s Music Store specializes in new and used stringed instruments, amps, and accessories such as strings, straps, and cords. The shop also offers luthier services, from expert setups to minor repairs and everyday needs like string changes.
