Louisiana National Guard mobilized to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement across state
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Louisiana National Guard announced that select soldiers and airmen have been federally mobilized to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement across locations in the state.
LANG officials said in a news release that the mobilization began on Aug. 25, and 95 personnel have been assisting ICE authorities with administrative, clerical and logistical tasks.
According to the LANG, they remain under Gov. Jeff Landry and the adjutant general, Maj. Gen. Thomas C. Friloux’s command, as they are in a Title 32 status.
