Flames rip through Lavelle home overnight
LAVELLE – Firefighters are battling a blaze on Reichwein Road in Lavelle at this hour.
Smoke could be seen billowing in the moonlit sky over the Butler Township village around 1am early Saturday morning.
Firefighters from across Schuylkill, Northumberland and Columbia counties are at the scene of the fire at 55 Reichwein Road.
Crews encountered heavy fire and the glow was visible for at least a mile.
At least two dogs were in the care of Ashland EMS.
Responding were crews from Lavelle, Ashland, Gordon, Hegins, Englewood, Mount Carmel, Beaverdale, Pitman, Mahanoy City, Girardville, East Cameron Township, among others.
