“The Alameda Free Library is the Heart of the Community” is the theme of the design competition.
Participants can be as young as 4 years old. There will be four age categories: 4-8, 9-12, 13-17, and 18 and older, according to Alameda Free Library.
A panel of judges will choose the winners based on originality, creativity, reproducibility and neatness, per the library.
Submissions must be received by the last day of September at 5 p.m. For people interested, more information is available at the Alameda Free Library’s website.
