The tropics are overall pretty quiet as dry air and wind shear continue to create hostile conditions throughout the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf. We are monitoring one area of interest, Invest 91L, east of the Lesser Antilles. Throughout Friday, it has battled dry air and does not look very healthy. While the National Hurricane Center has a high chance of development for this area still, chances have decreased. Models also now see this wave falling apart as it moves westward. We will continue to watch it in the coming days in case things change, but we are not expecting it to do much beyond bringing rain and gusty winds to the Lesser Antilles this weekend.
Locally, the front will not bring colder conditions, but it will dry the air out that will help take the edge off the humidity going into next week. We will see sunny conditions most of the week with only a passing cloud or two during the afternoon hours. High gradually increase into the lower 90s by the end of the week, as will the humidity.
