CHICAGO — During summertime in the city, one of the only things better than jumping into Lake Michigan is jumping into the crowd at Taste of Chicago.

Thousands of residents and visitors will flock to Grant Park this weekend to do just that in order to find out what delicious treats await at the end of the lines at this year’s event.

Taste of Chicago, a summertime tradition since 1980, offers guests the chance to try out a taste of some of the best food the Windy City has to offer.

The free event features more than 65 food restaurants and food trucks from around the city alongside a handful of live music performances, a drone and fireworks show, as well as several other fun activities.

It all kicks off at Grant Park on Friday morning and runs through Sunday evening. Open each day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Food vendors at the event only accept credit cards and no food tickets will be sold.

Visit the Taste of Chicago website for the full list of this year’s vendors and performers or for more information on the event.
