SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy Thursday, Utah! Our Thursday afternoon will bring more sunshine across most of northern Utah, with a few extra clouds by the late-afternoon hours. Moisture will begin to ramp up across Utah Thursday afternoon with isolated to scattered showers and storms developing during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will be in the lower 90s. Highs for SW Utah will also hold into the 90s for highs.

Isolated storm chances will begin to increase a bit across northern Utah by Friday. Look for partly cloudy skies with isolated storms for the Wasatch Front. Partly to mostly cloudy skies will be common for southern Utah with increasing chances for scattered afternoon and evening showers and storms. High temperatures fall back into the upper 80s to near 90 for the Wasatch Front and only in the low 90s for SW Utah.

The weekend outlook continues to look a bit more unsettled across Utah. Moisture surging north around and area of high pressure will keep scattered showers and storms in the forecast. The chance for showers and storms may increase a bit through the weekend into early next week. Temperatures will respond to the extra clouds and rain chances with highs along the Wasatch Front only in the mid 80s for the weekend, and only in the lower 90s for SW Utah.
