JACKSON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Breathitt County mother accused of faking her 10-year-old son’s disappearance is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.

Felicia Gross, the mother of Jayden Spicer, and Jayden’s stepfather, Joshua Gross, are due to be arraigned in court. The couple faces charges after Jayden was found dead in August.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

FOX 56 previously reported that Jayden was found in a tote buried in a shallow grave nearly 19 miles from his home.

Court documents note that Felicia told the police Jayden had a medical emergency after she gave him sleeping medication, leading her to believe he was dead.

Records show she has been charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse. Joshua faces a complicity to murder charge as well as abuse of a corpse.

The arraignment is scheduled for 11 a.m.
