Machesney Park homeowners to receive repairs thanks to grants

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Homeowners around Machensey Park are set to receive much-needed repairs thanks to grants from the state.

The village was awarded $400,000 to give to residents who need repairs to meet health and safety codes.

The grants will help replace roofs, windows and siding as well.

People can apply for home repairs until September 24, at 4 p.m. Residents will be chosen to receive home repairs through a lottery system.
