STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A bald eagle was rescued from a landfill in Stafford County on Tuesday afternoon.
The Stafford County Animal Shelter said it received a call about a sick bald eagle that was spotted at a landfill. An animal caretaker and deputy rushed over and was able to safely capture the eagle.
The eagle was taken to the Owl Moon Raptor Center for treatment.
