Henderson State University reports 9% enrollment increase for Fall 2025
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Officials with Henderson State University announced Thursday that overall enrollment increased 9% for Fall 2025, marking significant growth compared to last year.
The university reported 2,258 students enrolled this fall compared to 2,061 in Fall 2024, with notable gains in first-time freshmen and transfer students.
According to a spokesperson, freshman enrollment rose 46%, totaling 572 students, the largest class since 2019, while transfer enrollment grew 32% with 196 students and graduate enrollment decreased by 3%, totaling 577 students.
Campus housing increased 16% with 1,095 residents, the highest occupancy since 2021, officials said.
“The Reddie Spirit is alive and well on campus as we welcome our returning students and the largest freshman class in six years,” Chancellor Trey Berry said.
According to a spokesperson, Henderson offers more than 85 academic programs across its colleges, with top majors including business administration, health and human performance, health sciences, aviation and natural sciences.
