FBI Atlanta offering $15k reward for 2021 Columbus murder case

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — FBI Atlanta has announced a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two unknown suspects responsible for the 2021 homicide of Amit Patel.

On Dec. 6, 2021, Patel visited a bank at 4505 Buena Vista Road in Columbus to deposit money from his business.  As he approached the front door of the bank, two suspects pulled into the parking lot in a stolen Toyota Tacoma with missing license plates.

One suspect got out of the vehicle and shot Patel, who died at the scene, as the robber took all his money.  Both suspects fled in the stolen Tacoma.
