LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) – Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting Thursday evening, September 4, 2025, in the Salem community of Lee County.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones confirmed deputies responded to a call on Lee Road 126 regarding a subject who had been shot. The victim was located deceased at the scene.
Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton has confirmed the fatality. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of family.
Sheriff Jones also confirmed two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
