ATV rider critically injured in semi crash in Rockford

According to the Rockford Police Department, the unidentified rider collided with the semi at 22nd Street and Laude Drive.

Further details are unknown at this time.

ATVs are illegal to use on Rockford streets.

Police are offering a $200 reward for tips that lead to an arrest or confiscation of ATVs or off-road vehicles that have been used on city streets.

The public is urged to include the following information when reporting:

1. Send the location of the offender/vehicle. This also includes vehicles being stored.
2. Include as much information as possible (name, address, etc.).
3. If you see them gassing up at a local gas station, please notify us with the gas station name and address.
4. Photos and videos can also be sent and are appreciated. We also appreciate being told if they’re driving down your street, but it’s hard to catch the offenders before they are out of the area.
