Man arrested twice in one month for exposing himself to a child

RICHMOND, Ind. — A Fountain City man is back in custody for the same crime he was arrested for less than a month ago.

46-year-old Wendell Woodall was arrested on Aug. 20 in Richmond for allegedly exposing himself to a child in the school supplies section of a Meijer.

Woodall was arrested again on Wednesday for the same crime, this time at a Five Below located at 4615 East National Road.

According to the Richmond Police Department, this arrest comes from a second investigation into an incident at the Five Below on Aug. 20, when he allegedly exposed his genitals to a child.

“Unfortunately, one arrest wasn’t the end of this disgusting story. When new allegations surfaced, our detectives went right back to work, gathered the evidence, and brought it forward,” Richmond Police Chief Kyle Weatherly said. “That’s how you protect children in this community, by following every lead and holding offenders accountable every single time. This case is now in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office and the courts.”

Woodall has been arrested and has preliminary charges of Performing Sexual Conduct in the Presence of a Minor, a Level 6 Felony and Indecent Exposure, a Class A Misdemeanor. The same charges he faced after the Meijer arrest.
