IBC: Verbit To Showcase AI-Powered Captioning Innovations

Verbit, provider of a voice AI platform for captioning and transcription, will showcase its newest breakthroughs in automated and human-refined media accessibility solutions at this year’s IBC 2025 (RAI Amsterdam, Sept. 12-15).

Attendees visiting Verbit at Stand 6.C29b will get a first look at the latest advancements in live and post-production captioning, localization, short-form video captioning and real-time speaker identification, “all designed to streamline media workflows and meet the growing global demand for accessible content.”

Verbit will demonstrate how its Captivate platform “delivers domain-trained AI captioning, lightning-fast turnarounds and unmatched accuracy, all backed by Verbit’s professional prep and support teams.”

Product highlights at IBC 2025:

Captivate ASR Live Speaker IDs — Verbit’s flagship AI-driven engine, Captivate, is now enhanced with speaker identification, a first-of-its-kind feature for live ASR broadcast captioning. Unlike traditional captions that rely on chevrons (>>), Verbit’s AI tags real-time dialogue with speaker names — such as news anchors or sportscasters — creating a more accurate and accessible experience for live news, sports and weather. Captivate also now provides users with the ability to remove disfluencies, add atmospherics and sound effects and automatic caption positioning options.

Captivate Post — Tailored for long-form recorded content, Verbit’s Captivate Post delivers high-accuracy English and multi-language captions with fast turnarounds — as quick as the original media length. It’s ideal for FAST channels, streaming services, archives, social content and more, enabling media companies to scale production without compromising quality or compliance.

Captivate Clips — Designed for today’s short-form video needs, Verbit’s Captivate Clips is used by leading broadcasters and streamers to caption and localize promos, commercials, highlight reels and social media content with turnaround times in as fast as 20 minutes, including multilanguage translation. The tool integrates seamlessly into fast-paced editing environments and offers localized captioning for global reach.

AI Dubbing — Verbit’s AI dubbing solution seamlessly combines advanced speech recognition, machine translation and voice cloning to deliver fast, culturally adapted, ready-to-upload multilingual content tailored for creators and enterprises. Verbit will be announcing prior to IBC 2025 a new offering that turns captioned content into expressive, broadcast-ready dubbed audio directly from Verbit’s platform.
