BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Friends of the Library will hold its Big Fall Book Sale Sept. 19–22 at the Downtown Library, offering thousands of books and other items at bargain prices.
The four-day sale, held twice a year in Meeting Room 1B/C, begins with an early-bird preview for Friends members on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memberships can be purchased at the door.
The sale opens to the public Friday, Sept. 19, and continues through Monday, Sept. 22. On Friday and Saturday, items will be priced between 50 cents and $1.50. Sunday shoppers can purchase a Friends tote bag and fill it for $10 or fill a box for $15. On the final day, Monday, Sept. 22, all remaining items will be free from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to the sale, patrons can shop year-round at the Friends of the Library Bookstore. Volunteers are also needed to help with setup and during the event. Interested individuals can apply through the Library’s volunteer program.
