Bay Area forecast: Sunny skies expected Thursday
(BCN) — Thursday in the Bay Area calls for mostly sunny skies with slight chances of patchy drizzle in multiple parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Daytime highs will be mostly in the mid 60s to high 70s on the coast, in the low to high 70s around the bay, and in the mid 80s to low 90s. Overnight lows will be mostly in the high 50s to low 60s.

A weak upper-level trough will bring slightly cooler weather to the Bay Area on Thursday, with highs dipping a few more degrees compared with Wednesday, forecasters say.

Winds are expected to stay breezy, with gusts of 25 to 30 mph possible in the Salinas Valley and through the Altamont Pass, according to the NWS.

A marine layer is expected to bring drizzle and patchy fog along the coast Thursday morning. At night, the marine layer will deepen to around 1,800 to 2,000 feet, making morning coastal drizzle likely each day into the weekend, forecasters say.
