Lindsay’s journey started back in 2012 when he founded the Auburn High School fishing team, giving young anglers a place to compete and grow the sport locally. He carried that momentum to Auburn University, where he not only fished competitively but also earned the title of Angler of the Year in 2019.
This season, Lindsay’s hard work paid off in a big way. Competing in Division 1 of the 2025 Bassmaster Opens, he finished first overall, once again claiming the Angler of the Year title. That victory secured him a spot among just 50 anglers nationwide advancing to the Bassmaster Elite Qualifier tournaments this fall.
The Bassmaster Elite Series is considered the pinnacle of professional bass fishing, and qualifying is a dream Lindsay has been working toward for years.
But for Lindsay, fishing is about more than trophies. He says his faith is at the center of his success, guiding him through long days on the water and keeping him grounded through the ups and downs of competition.
As he prepares for the Elite Qualifiers, Lindsay says he’s proud to represent Auburn and the community that has supported him since his high school days.
