Alexandria resident faces charges for marijuana and firearms after raid
Martavius Lee was taken into custody Sept. 2 around 1 p.m. in the 5800 block of Starling Circle, police said.
Lee faces charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, possession with intent to distribute more than 2 ½ pounds of marijuana, and three counts of possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs.
During the arrest, officers confiscated three firearms and about $17,212 in cash, according to police.
“Every time we take guns and drugs off the streets, we’re making Alexandria a safer place for our families,” Police Chief Chad Gremillion said in a statement. “This arrest is a clear example of the dedication our officers show each day in confronting dangerous situations head-on. We will continue to stand firm against those who choose to bring violence and illegal drugs into our community.”
