Two juveniles arrested for auto burglaries at two Jackson colleges

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police arrested two juveniles in connection to more than 20 auto burglaries at two Jackson colleges.

The crimes occurred during the early morning hours of September 2, 2025. Police said multiple vehicles were broken into on the Belhaven University and Millsaps College campuses. One vehicle was reported stolen.

Within a few hours, Capitol police said they spotted the stolen vehicle traveling on Pear Orchard Road and conducted a traffic stop. They said the driver and passenger were wearing clothing matching the descriptions of the suspects, and stolen items were recovered from the vehicle.

Police said the two juveniles were arrested with no further incident.
