Triple shooting under investigation in Central City

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Three people were hospitalized following shooting in Central City on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Around 8:26 p.m., officers with the New Orleans Police Department were called to the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Drive in response to a shooting in the area.

Responding officers arrived to find two men suffering from what they said were “non-life-threatening injuries” and were taken to a hospital by EMS.

A third unidentified victim was taken to a hospital by car for treatment. It is unknown if their injuries were also non-life-threatening.

No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
