KLFY) — Firefighters from the Scott Fire Department responded to a fire at a homeless camp near the Ile des Cannes apartment complex on Labor Day.
The fire was reported following an explosion in the area, and upon arrival, firefighters found the camp engulfed in flames.
Scott Fire Chief Chad Sonnier stated that household items, tires, furniture, refrigerators and freezers were used to construct the camp.
There were no casualties reported from the fire, but the camp was completely destroyed.
