Rockford Police arrest wanted man after car chase near Blackhawk Courts Housing Complex
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Carlos Rodriguez, 65, for allegedly fleeing officers.

Officers were on patrol at the Blackhawk Courts Housing Complex when they saw a silver Honda Accord speed past them.

The Accord did not slow down when authorities started to follow, court documents show. Officials said the suspect was not wearing a seatbelt.

The car came to a stop at a dead end on Buckabee Street, but the suspect started running away on foot, police reported.

Authorities eventually took Rodriguez into custody in the 100 block of Buckabee.

After further investigation, officers determined that the suspect was wanted for traffic crimes in McHenry County.

Rodriguez was driving on a revoked license and without insurance on the vehicle. The license plate registration was suspended as well.

He is charged with fleeing and attempting to elude officers, driving on a revoked license and resisting an officer.
