
The national medical conference is expected to attract over 700 emergency medicine physicians, nurses, trauma leaders, and researchers from throughout the world.
The 2025 American College of Emergency Physicians Scientific Assembly is the world’s largest conference for emergency medicine professionals and will feature the latest advancements and innovations in emergency medicine and trauma care.
The conference will feature 10 research studies from Intermountain Health emergency medicine clinicians, nurses, and scientists. Additionally, Utah’s premier emergency medicine services and programs that are leading the nation will be highlighted.
“It’s a terrific and unique opportunity to bring the nation’s leading emergency medicine providers to Salt Lake City to highlight the incredible work and innovation that’s happening in our own community,” said Troy Madsen, MD, an Intermountain Health emergency physician at Intermountain Park City Hospital who’s closely involved in the medical conference. “This meeting brings together the top emergency medicine clinicians, academicians, and administrators, whose goal is to enhance the emergency medicine care.”
Dr. Madsen said conference attendees will focus on advancements innovations and what those mean for patients and the community, as well as ways to help the community best utilize emergency department services – and which services and care can best be delivered in other settings like clinics, urgent care facilities, and doctor’s offices.
