
BIG COUNTRY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – September marks National Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and offer support. In the Big Country, several organizations are dedicated to assisting those with mental health challenges. Below is a list of local services available to help you or someone you care about. Remember, you are never alone in your struggles.
South Clack Street, Abilene
- Counties: Callahan, Jones, Shackelford, Stephens, and Taylor counties
- Services: Adult/child mental health, psychiatry, intellectual & developmental disabilities, substance use disorder treatment, specialized treatment for early psychosis (STEP), veteran services.
Oceans Healthcare

- Services: Depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, behavioral changes related to Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, medication management, substance abuse, and other mental health issues.
