Muscogee County deputies arrest 2 men, seize multiple stolen firearms

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office has two men in custody accused of attempted murder and aggravated assault.

According to the sheriff’s office, during a deputy’s patrol, a traffic stop was conducted on a black Chevy Malibu. The driver, Trevarios Lee, had an active warrant for attempted murder with the Phenix City Police Department.

Lee attempted to run away but was captured and arrested.

The passenger, Demeteius Seats, was also arrested for an active warrant for aggravated assault out of Dekalb County and a felony violation of probation out of Harris County, Georgia.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found an AR-15 pistol, a Glock Model 21 pistol and a Glock Pistol which was outfitted with a machine gun conversion device making it fully automatic.

Both Seats and Lee were transported to the Muscogee County Jail and charged with the following:

  • Fugitive From Justice – Alabama for Attempted Murder
  • Felony Possession of A Machine Gun
  • Felony Theft By Receiving Stolen Property – Firearm (2 counts)
  • Misdemeanor Obstruction Of An Officer
  • Misdemeanor Suspended Registration

Demeteious Seats:

  • Felony Theft By Receiving Stolen Property – Firearm (2 counts)
  • Felony Hold For Dekalb County for Aggravated Assault
  • Felony Hold For Harris County For Violation of Probation
  • Misdemeanor Giving False Name
