According to the Reno Gazette Journal, Kruglov, 37, was a resident of Tacoma, Washington.
Authorities were alerted to the location of the man on Saturday at the annual festival in the Black Rock Desert, about 110 miles north of Reno. Deputies and rangers from the Bureau of Land Management responded and found a “single white adult male lying on the ground, obviously deceased,” the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office said.
Sheriff’s office officials said it appeared to be a singular crime but urged festivalgoers to remain vigilant of their surroundings and acquaintances. Burning Man organizers said they were cooperating with local law enforcement and asked festival participants not to interfere with the investigation.
The Burning Man festival ended on Monday.
