Low-cost airline cutting prices in honor of summer’s end

A budget airline that services much of Southern California is cutting prices this week to celebrate the end of summer.

Now through Sept. 5, Breeze Airways is offering a 35% promotion on all round-trip flights between Sept. 10 and Jan. 31, 2026.

Tickets must be purchased on the airline’s app and website

“As we close out another summer season, we look forward to even more great travel opportunities for our Guests this fall and winter, and we’re kicking things off with a promotion to help our Guests save even more,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways founder and CEO. “Whether it’s a getaway to warmer weather or a quick family vacation to visit some beautiful fall foliage, our Guests can count on Breeze for a convenient, affordable flight.”

Neeleman, who previously co-founded JetBlue, says the Breeze business model centers around providing flights to underserved destinations and offering “affordable fares with plenty of perks.” Those benefits include a la carte pricing, fewer fees and enhanced seating options without additional charges for changes or cancellations up to 15 minutes before departure.

The company has been flying since 2021, and currently services 82 cities with 300 year-round and season routes, officials said.

Next year, the company will begin a large West Coast expansion, adopting service routes left abandoned by fellow ultra-low-cost carrier Avelo, which is ceasing all operations in California and the Pacific Northwest.

The Utah-based airline already operates multiple flights from LAX, John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, San Bernardino International Airport and San Diego International Airport, as well as offering service out of San Francisco International Airport.

Beginning in March 2026, the company will arrive at the Hollywood Burbank Airport, as well as four other airports on the West Coast.

The 35% discount on flights applies only to new reservations and only for roundtrips. Supply is limited, company officials said, and the discount will apply only to flights on qualifying travel dates.
