Hibox Systems, a subsidiary of the Accedo Group, has launched Hibox xprs, “instantly modernizing the in-room guest experience with a preconfigured turnkey solution.”
With Hibox xprs, telecom operators and service providers can support hotels to modernize their guest experience by providing a fully managed Hospitality TV service.
Hibox xprs allows hotel guests to enjoy their own choice of entertainment, from movies and shows, to sports and music, directly on the TV screen. The solution uses an easy-to-install dongle that works with any TV with an HDMI port. Hotels can enable casting across rooms quickly by using Hibox Castgate and guests can securely enjoy their content via their smartphone directly on their hotel room TV.
Hibox says xprs also “includes a library of modern graphic user interfaces allowing for an instant modernization of a hotel’s guest experience. Hibox xprs instantly modernizes the in-room experience of guests while letting hotels maximize their existing TV investments.”
Rasmus Almqvist, Hibox Systems vice president, says: “The consumption of video content is today overwhelmingly done using Smartphones, and to serve their hotel guests with better experiences, hotels are increasingly turning to casting. However, replacing in-room displays with built-in casting comes at a significant cost to hotels, both in terms of cost of purchase and in lost revenue while an installation is being carried out. With the launch of Hibox xprs, we are enabling any hotel to rollout modern guest experience services, even on aging TVs.”
During IBC 2025 (RAI Amsterdam, Sept. 12-15), Hibox xprs will be demonstrated by the Hibox team at Accedo’s Booth 5.F80.
